Dear Friends, have you ever feel down towards your life? You know, being tested heavily again and again to your exhaustion. Yes? So do I. Maybe you want to ask Allah a few questions to quench your confusion like why does Allah want to test me? Why didn't He just place me in Paradise? He has the supreme power to do that though..
Well, Allah answers you in Surah Al-Ankabut, verses 2 to 3
“Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, "We believe", and that they will not be tested? We did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false. “
Owh yes indeed! How can I say that I am a staunch servant of God without being tested to certain extent? Make sense isn’t it? Just like in exam. We can only differentiate a hardworking student and a lazy student through exam don’t you? So, just take them as an exam, face them accordingly and wait for the result in the hereafter.
What if I can’t bear the test anymore? It’s too heavy that make me lost my appetite, having a sleepless night, depressed and so on. Open Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 286. Allah tells you,
“On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns….”
Allah is the One who created us. Definitely He knows everything about us from outer look to the core of our heart. It includes our capacity and capability. So, it is not fair for Him to burden us with something beyond our limit. The thing is we actually have the strength to cope with any challenge come to our way. It’s maybe hiding somewhere. Therefore, we need to look for some sort of inspiration to bring out the hidden strength.
But how? Again Allah save us by giving the answer in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 45,
“….. seek ((Allah)'s) help with patient perseverance and prayer: It is indeed hard, except to those who bring a lowly spirit(khusyuk)”
And Surah Al-Imran, verse 200,
“O ye who believe! Persevere in patience and constancy; vie in such perseverance; strengthen each other; and fear Allah. that ye may prosper”
Alhamdulillah, at least we have the guidance to find our strength from The Most Supreme Ruler, Allah. They are Solat(prayer). Of course a simple Solat would not do anything. It must come with Khusyuk. Allah tells us also to have patience, perseverance, and constancy in whatever we do. Not to forget to help other and fear Allah(Taqwa). InsyaAllah the strength will come out and the success will follow soon after.
However, I’ve seen that many of my friends didn’t manage to get what they are after. They’ve already strived to their utmost to succeed. Unfortunately, to their despair, they fail. Why ya Allah? Why? He stated in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 216,
“……. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not. “
True! Sometime, things that we are up to can actually harm us. At the same time, we wouldn’t know something that we throw away or hate can actually be beneficial to us. So, just assume that Allah want the best for us in everything. Be patient and continue living your life for the sake of Allah.
